Lately I have been struggling with deciding to focus on renovating old homes (whether for rental or resale) or building new (again whether for rental or resale). Since 1999 we were primarily focused on renovating existing buildings. In the current market I think it makes more sense to build new. Look for additional posts to follow as I explain the pros and cons of each option.
